‘Mukhaputa’ premier in Bangalore

The first premier of internationally relevant subject ‘Mukhaputa’ that is ‘Cover Page’ in English and nine other international languages was held in Arjun Arts Studio in 18th Cross Malleswaram, Bangalore on Monday evening. The debutant director cum writer, one of the producers, actress and philosophical Roopa Iyer received thunderous applause from dignitaries.

Prof Narayana Hosmane, cameraman S. Ramachandra, top ranking writer Jayanth Kaikini, veteran director of over 50 commercial films D. Rajendra Babu, actress Sumithra, award winning off beat films director P. Seshadri and Dr. Satish of HIV AIDS association appreciated the honest and sincere attempt of Ms Roopa Iyer.

This is an emotional journey plus soothing and therapeutic. Roopa Iyer has used the cinematic skills very well. When there is humanity touch in the subject the honest support comes from everywhere felt the No.1 lyricist today of Kannada cinema the main force behind Roopa Iyer taking up this film Jayanth Kaikini.

How come I have not done one such serious film that is so relevant to this universe felt the 50 plus director of Kannada cinema D. Rajendra Babu. Smt. Sumithra explained that she would have done a great mistake had she missed this film.

Dr. Satish who has treated 15000 HIV AIDS patients of different age group in his life the former President of HIV AIDS Foundation said Roopa Iyer has met my dream of meeting the millions on awareness of dreaded disease. The stigma attached to AIDS should go away from the society he pointed.

Off beat films director the talented P Seshadri in his address after watching the film said this going to bag some award and the child Saloni performance is good. ‘Roopa is Aparoopa’ Seshadri coined appreciating the caliber of Roopa Iyer.

Ace cameraman Ramachandra Aithal who is one of the pillars of this cinema ‘Mukhaputa’ disclosed this is not just another film in his career. Handling camera to the observations of Roopa Iyer was a big challenge admitted Ramachandra. Roopa Iyer is a committed lady and constructive in her thoughts the veteran added.

A gritty, committed, impeccable lady with determination debutant director Roopa Iyer who has written the script, screenplay and dialogues before the screening of the film said it is almost her life sketch and invited the special guests to the premier.
